Building sports courts at 6,200 feet elevation in Lake Tahoe required extensive logistical planning and specialized construction techniques. The foundation system features a 6-inch reinforced concrete base with fiber mesh reinforcement, designed to handle the extreme freeze-thaw cycles characteristic of Lake Tahoe's alpine climate. We installed a comprehensive subsurface drainage system with French drains and perimeter collection systems to manage snowmelt and seasonal groundwater. The court surfaces utilize a multi-layer acrylic system specifically formulated for high-altitude UV exposure and temperature extremes ranging from -10°F to 85°F.

The pickleball courts meet USA Pickleball Association standards with precise 20' x 44' dimensions and regulation net heights. The basketball court features professional 10-foot goals with breakaway rims and tempered glass backboards. All line markings use premium acrylic paint with reflective additives for enhanced visibility during Lake Tahoe's varying light conditions throughout the seasons.
